I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! I spent Christmas day finishing the final touches on my R&R Hoodie that I knitted for myself. It’s so cozy and warm! I’d love to make another one in a solid color next time.

The pattern is R&R Hoodie from Tanis Fiber Arts. The yarn is I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby in the colorway Orange Zest. I had originally bought this yarn to crochet a different cardigan, but I wasn’t liking the way it looked so I frogged it all and started on this. I’ve spent a couple years working on it off and on. It’s not a difficult knit; I just don’t stick well to larger projects.

Yesterday (and a few minutes this morning) I crocheted this Sakura Market Bag. The yarn for this one is Yarn Bee’s Sugarwheel Cotton in Citrus Grove from Hobby Lobby.

I’ve been making a lot of hexipuffs to add to my Beekeeper’s Quilt, too. The ones I’ve already joined are in storage right now. I think I’ll make several more before I pull it out to add to it. Here’s a few of the puffs I’ve made lately:

The Volkswagen Beetle is still on jack stands. That project has snowballed from fixing the front beam and seat rails. Now we’re replacing all the brake lines, fixing the rusted area in the battery tray, and replacing some other miscellaneous things that need fixing. Honestly, it could use a new headliner and upholstery, too, but we’ll save that for a few years. I’ll just be happy to see it back on the ground and ready to drive!
We’ve also been to Sturgis since the last time I posted. I really should be better about taking photos and posting them regularly. That will be my New Year’s Resolution: I will post at least once every other week. What will you do to make the new year better than the last? Last year, I had resolved to be better about weaving the ends in on my projects and not tossing them aside until they build up to an unmanageable level. Other than a stack of about 20 dishcloths, I have been pretty good about that this year. I even made a throw with color changes on every row, and all those ends are woven in and the throw is completely finished! I’ve also been trying to finish up old projects for the last few months (that’s why the hoodie got done).
Have a safe and fun New Year!!
